Time Flies

Hey Everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, I've been a little busy. We've been in a house for about 3 weeks now. I love it! It's one level & small and right in town. I can be at the mall or post office or hall in about 5 minutes. The kids each have their own little room & the living room, dining area & kitchen are one big room. Our room is on the other side of the house.

Shelby doesn't start school until the 20th. We've been there to register & he's very excited. We'll see how he is when I have to leave him there. He will know one other boy in first grade so maybe they'll see each other at lunch or recess.

Everyone is adjusting well. Shelby is doing well, I guess since he understands what's going on. Alyson keeps asking to go home in the truck. It really breaks my heart to hear her cry for home. I just keep telling myself that she'll be ok.

We can't believe how fast we got a contract on our house. We signed with our realtor on Saturday and we had a contract on Wednesday. The people saw it on the Monday before & said they were signing. They are definitely getting a deal. It's such a bittersweet feeling. But we feel it is for the best.

Is anyone still paying attention to me?

Yes, I'm still paying attention to you! You are right, Alyson will adjust. In fact, I think this is the perfect age. She won't remember very much about moving. It seems like around age 3, their memory kicks in and they start remembering more and more; but before 3, they don't recall too much. We told Austin that Jehovah took his pacifier when he was 2-1/2 because he kept "needing" it. He doesn't remember us telling him that! Thank goodness! We love you and can't wait to hear more news!

Of course we are listening to you also. So sorry that we have not let you know sooner. We have been crazy busy. We are so happy you have a little nest there in Virginia. Hopefully we can come up this fall for a weekend. Can't wait to hear from all of you soon! LOVE you lots!

Your house sounds nice. I'm glad your other is selling. I wish ours would. I think it will be better when we put it in the realitors. Anyway, hope it goes through.
