I'm such a bum!

Sorry I haven't blogged in so long! I think I'm depressed cause I don't have a computer at home yet! Last month I had to choose between a bed & computer! I chose a bed! Oh well!

Shelby has been handling the Christmas season well! I didn't even think about his music class but when I saw his music teacher I asked him. He told me he just stands and doesn't sing the Christmas songs! He's doing great!

Alyson is definitely trying to assert her independence. She's turned into my new reason to need a drink at night!

It's already starting!

Well, Shelby told me last week that some friends of his all started a club called the Strong Boys Club. They run around at recess & do exersices & NO GIRLS ARE ALLOWED! Isn't that so funny! Shelby's nose is all healed except for a tiny scar but it'll be fine for pics on Wednesday!

And Candi, my whole family has requested more of the pear preserves you brought up! It's all gone already!

Let the Fundraisers begin!

Also, the big news right now is that Shelby broke his nose Saturday! He fell onto the forks of the tractor & now he has a swollen nose & 2 black eyes! Of course, school pics are in 2 weeks! At least he has a good story to tell everyone! He says he got in a "tractor fight"!

Can you believe it's already September!!!

Obviously we didn't come down over the weekend. They pushed off our closing, of course, so we'll let everyone know when the next date is! My parents came up this weekend! We went to Hillsville for the biggest flea market I've ever seen!!!! There was stuff & people EVERYWHERE!!! Someone said it's the biggest one in America! Of course, most of it was junk! I did get some good deals on some cast iron cookware!

Shelby came home with his first fundraiser magazine! So I'll be posting the website on here soon & he'll be hitting everyone up to buy some overpriced trinket!!!

First Day

Shelby is a kindergartener now! He did so good! I had to make him come back & give me a hug! I'm so sad! I wasn't the least bit upset when I put him in preschool but now I just feel like crying! The teacher seems really nice & easy to work with. Hope all is going well with you guys! Talk to you later!

Time Flies

Hey Everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, I've been a little busy. We've been in a house for about 3 weeks now. I love it! It's one level & small and right in town. I can be at the mall or post office or hall in about 5 minutes. The kids each have their own little room & the living room, dining area & kitchen are one big room. Our room is on the other side of the house.

Shelby doesn't start school until the 20th. We've been there to register & he's very excited. We'll see how he is when I have to leave him there. He will know one other boy in first grade so maybe they'll see each other at lunch or recess.

Everyone is adjusting well. Shelby is doing well, I guess since he understands what's going on. Alyson keeps asking to go home in the truck. It really breaks my heart to hear her cry for home. I just keep telling myself that she'll be ok.

We can't believe how fast we got a contract on our house. We signed with our realtor on Saturday and we had a contract on Wednesday. The people saw it on the Monday before & said they were signing. They are definitely getting a deal. It's such a bittersweet feeling. But we feel it is for the best.

Is anyone still paying attention to me?

Getting Old

Yes, the camper is starting to get old! This is our fourth week in it & it's starting to shrink! The trailer fell thru which is OK by me! Now we're looking at a few houses in town! It's further than we want but we need to get settled for at least a little while!
Two of the guys I've talked to about houses have said they are from Grundy! One of them who's last name is Altizer said he has Horns in his family! He said he has researched his family tree so they may be way back cause Dillo said he doesn't recognize the name!
Anyway, I hope we find something soon! We've had to push back the week we come home so it will probably be July 12th! But we'll see you soon!
